We encourage residents to bring personal items such as photographs and pictures to make their room feel like a home from home. Each room is individually decorated and furnished but small pieces of furniture can be accommodated. Larger items should be discussed with the manager.
There is WiFi available throughout the home which is complimentary for the residents and their guests
We offer breakfast, a main meal at lunchtime and a light supper. Residents are able to choose their meals daily from a varied menu.
We have a resident chef who prepares and cooks the meals in the home. The menus are changed on a seasonal basis taking into account the residents preferences.
Hot and cold drinks as well as snacks including fresh fruit are available throughout the day.
Our activities co-ordinator plans a weekly programme of activities and entertainment which includes such pastimes as bingo, quizzes, exercise classes, flower arranging and a well being Wednesday. Various themed activities are organised such as a ‘beach day’, animal visits, shows and pantomimes. The home also hosts a summer garden and a Christmas party annually.
There are no strict rules around visiting, we welcome visitors at any time of the day but would ask that mealtimes are avoided if at all possible.
A Doctor from the local medical centre routinely visits the home on a weekly basis. The local community nursing team also attend the home if required.
Our fees cover accommodation, care and support including medication, meals, housekeeping and in house activities.
Hairdressing, Chiropody and newspapers / magazines are not included in the weekly fee. Our 2 hairdressers visit weekly, a Chiropodist attends every couple of months and delivery of daily newspapers / magazines can be arranged. Some external activities may also incur a charge. The cost of these will be recharged monthly to the resident.
We are a small private residential care home with a maximum of 30 residents.
